Just finished reading this amazing book. One has to read it with an open mind. Funnily enough much of what it seems the Native Americans believe, is already, and has been for many years, my own beliefs. Including my belief of how the first real humans were created on the earth.
As you read it, you will become truly regretful at how ancient civilisations, such as the Maya, Aztecs, and Native Americans, were wiped out by Catholicism/Christianity. How vast knowledge has been destroyed. How they too... -

Do you ever think about what would happen to important papers or cash that you might have in the home if a fire swept through your house and you had to get out quickly or you were away at the time?
We don't all have the luxury of a fire resistant safe, but we do all have a fire proof safe area that we can use to store passports, insurance policies, birth certificates, etc, and of course cash.

On Sunday all members of the family that happened to be hanging around at that time, which was 7 of us, all went to buy my first 3 starter fish.
I allowed my Jess to pick the first fish after pointing out the ones she could choose from. She chose these sweet little Red Phantom Tetra.

After losing my Bayley nearly 2 weeks ago now, I found my home so deadly quiet and lonely without him that I was going crazy with sadness. Never wanting another animal and having to go through the pain of losing them again, I decided that I would, for the very first time ever, have an aquarium.
The sound of the bubbling and the attractiveness of the light and fish should go a way to add some atmosphere that is now sadly lacking.

Some of you will have noticed that I haven't been around lately. I am really sorry for this, and it's really hard to explain why.
Call it a winter depression, mental exhaustion or whatever. Either way I am not very good company at this time. It's simply a time when I need to take a step back from everyone. Be it from plain conversation, answering help questions and even playing here on Yuku.

Well, not really Christmas Dinner with the Mayor, but the Mayor was there at the head table, along with other dignitaries, such as the local Vicar, the Chairman of the association and a couple of committee members.

Made in 2009 I only got around to seeing this film this weekend. Not only do I love our British thrillers but Michael Caine as far as I am concerned has never made a bad film.
The film starts off pretty slow, but understandably so, as the scene really has to be set, especially for those that are not British and might not understand the seedy part of our inner cities.

As some of you know I have been spending the last 4 days across the border in Wales.
Wales is the first UK country to be firm about charging for plastic carrier bags in order to cut down on the amount that are used, wasted, and destroying our countryside, along with harming our animals. For this I admire them as I am a great believer in trying to get rid of as many of these bags as possible.

Since I have retired I have become a total slob. When at work I had to wear suits, and in the evenings to welcome patrons I had to wear black dress suits. Now I am retired I tend to constantly wear that which is comfortable.
