This is just a quicky to let all that were interested, know that I received a letter yesterday from the Education Department to say I had passed my first Sign
Language test with top marks.
The highest score one could get was 18 and that's exactly what I got. Both my Daughter Sarah and GG Daughter Aimee also got the highest marks.
I would have been very disappointed if I had even dropped by one mark.
The next test, 102, will be during the second week of March. I have no hopes of getting top marks with that one as it is going to be so much harder. With that one there is a possibility of getting 40 marks but 20 will be a pass.
Now I just need to get stuck in and practice, practice, practice.

I am hoping to go onto the second year but of course will only be allowed to do that if I pass the tests each time.
As I said above we have another one in March and then the 103 at the end of the first year course.
They are offering a 8 weeks course though the summer holidays to prepare us for year 2, but I'm not sure if I can afford that. It will cost £80. Being as how I will not long after have to pay for Year 2, I am really going to have to think hard about that.
I would love to do it though.

I know you really wanted to do well on that exam and so you did!
And, I bet that you do better on the second exam than you think you will. In fact, I'm certian of it.
Congratulations! Well done!
Oh, and I'm impressed, too! :)

Sarah says I expect too much of me, but it is harder to learn as one gets older and I really wanted to prove to myself that I could do it. Maybe that sounds daft but if I take something on, whatever it is, I always have wanted to do the very best I can.
As for the next test, well, I have lowered my expectations slightly for that one as I know it's going to be difficult for all to aim for the top marks, but we shall see.
